I’ve had some questions about my personal daily financial routine. What are actual steps I took that helped me double my income in one year? I usually do these about midday because then I’m not using up the creative energy that I have first thing in the morning and I’m also not flat out, mentally exhausted like I can be at the end of the day.
There are three things that I do every single day, even on the weekends. For me, they’ve made a huge difference because habits form the person you’re going to be so having a daily financial ritual has allowed me to become more financially intuitive, proactive and financially aware AND double my income in one year.
To me the point of this ritual. is twofold. First, so that everything gets paid on time. I know what my finances are and know what’s coming in and what’s going out. And I have a general overall awareness at all times of where I stand financially, where my business stands and where my family stands.
Secondly, the ritual lets me be in touch with the energy of money. So every day I’m, for at least a few minutes, thinking about money. In hopefully a neutral or positive way. I’m not beating myself up over it. I’m not getting upset. I’m not fighting with my spouse or my partner over it. I’m just thinking about it. What is it? Where is it? How much do I have of it? How much do I have coming in the near future? What’s going out? Great. Okay, I got the lay of the land now and I can make informed decisions.
That’s all this is doing. It’s letting me have some peace of mind and it’s letting me be able to make informed decisions about how, when and where to spend, make and allocate money.
Three Things I do Every Single Day
Number One: I log on to my banking app and check all our bank accounts. I check my personal finances, business finances and retirement accounts. It’s just a quick check that only takes a few minutes.
Number Two: I look at my Bill Tracker. This is like my living, evolving check register. I have one for personal accounts and one for my business account. It’s where I track how much money is in each account. What is due and when. Whether each payment is set up on autopay and, if not, to make sure I pay it on time.
Number Three: I track my money and value for each day on my Wealth Tracker. [Get your free copy of the Wealth tracker by signing up in the sidebar]. That part happens as I receive the money/value during the day. If I haven’t put anything on the Wealth Tracker by the end of the day, then I do it before logging off when I’m done working. (Read more about what the Wealth Tracker is here.)
These are the three things I do every day
1) Check my bank accounts
2) Look at my bill tracker
3) Track money and value my Wealth Tracker
I spend somewhere between 5 and 15 minutes daily on these tasks.
Why These Habits are Critical
A lot of people tend to adopt a head-in-the-sand attitude towards finances. Out of sight, out of mind. The problem is that not managing your money almost guarantees you’ll never have the financial life you want and deserve.

Most people only look at their accounts once a month or if they think something is not right. I look at mine every day. It grounds me around my money. It helps me tap into the energy of money and whether or not my finances are looking like I want them to. If not, it lets me tap into the energy of attracting some more money. It also normalizes the fact that it’s okay to think about, talk about, interact with money.
No matter how my finances look, it lets me tap into the energy of gratitude. Thank you. I’m grateful. I appreciate this. Yes, Universe, I want some more of this.
These rituals also help me by going to work on my behalf. When I see the amounts in my bank accounts, and I know I have a certain goal for what I want those amounts to look like and if they’re not there, then my subconscious, my brain, my energy starts working towards how can I get them to where I want them to be? It just starts doing it automatically behind the scenes, subconsciously.
The next thing I know I’m getting a new project or a new client or I’ve sold something. It just seems that if I tap into where my money’s at on a regular, consistent basis then it continues to move in the direction that I want it to.
These three rituals helped me go from bankruptcy to multiple 6-figure income in just about 2 years. They are not the only things I changed but they were one of the easiest and most impactful changes.
If you adopt even one of these habits, you’re going to be financially better off. Adopting all three of these rituals is going to make you head and shoulders above 80% of the world with regards to managing your money.
